Honoring Jewish Heritage, Building Adventist Friendships
One Maryland church uses Jewish holiday traditions to build friendships with their local Jewish community.
Operating under the Department of Multilingual Ministries, the Shalom Learning Center (SLC) is the teaching and outreach arm of the North American Division Jewish Ministries. SLC performs its mission through online media productions and written resources. Currently, SLC is producing Adventist World Radio (AWR) programming, podcasts, and YouTube videos. We also publish various print materials.
Our mission is to help Jewish people develop their relationships with God through their Messiah Jesus and the Three Angels Message.
Our vision is to facilitate and develop outreach to Jewish people across the NAD, in cooperation with church administrators in unions and conferences and with media ministries like Adventist World Radio and Hope Channel International.
We are to preach the gospel to the Jews as well as to the Gentiles. The glorious message of the power of God unto salvation is to be made known unto all men. We are to bring more simplicity and Bible godliness into our work for the Lord. There is to be no erecting of barriers, no depending on human agencies for wisdom. Our work is to be given freely to the Jews as to the Gentiles
