As early October brought cooler evenings and seasonal changes, a warm atmosphere filled a festive venue in Los Angeles. Beginning on October 6, Pastor Anatoliy Gurduiala lead out in a series of meetings to celebrate Sukkot, the biblical Feast of Booths. The feast is named after booths or sukkot, temporary, three-walled shelters, covered with foliage and branches. The gatherings brought a diverse group of participants together for a celebration, rooted in tradition, gratitude, and community.
On this occasion, no physical sukkot were constructed, but the spirit of the holiday was carefully preserved. Pieces of palm branches created a festive and symbolic setting, visually reminding attendees of Sukkot’s central themes: dependence on God, remembrance of Israel’s journey in the wilderness, and gratitude for Divine provision. These simple yet meaningful elements helped transform the space into one that reflected the joy and reverence associated with the holiday.
The meetings were intentionally warm and welcoming, reflecting the communal nature of Sukkot itself. Gathering around tables, participants shared conversations, joining in moments of prayer and reflection. Comforting Psalms and encouraging words filled the room, embodying the deeper meaning of the feast as a time of collective rejoicing before God.
