In late July, the congregation led by Pastor Vladimir Yaroslavsky in San Francisco hosted an event that marked a significant milestone in both Jewish ministry and biblical education. From July 28 to 30, Pastor Yaroslavsky’s community created the Biblical Sanctuary Museum and held its global opening, headlined by a series of four in-depth lectures on the Sanctuary presented by pastor, theologian, and biblical scholar Dr. Alexander Bolotnikov.
Over the course of three days, the church space was transformed into a living educational center, where ancient biblical concepts came to life. Visitors were able to explore a detailed model of the Sanctuary. They could carefully examine its structure and learn about the meaning and purpose of the Sanctuary’s central elements, including: key furnishings like the altar, the Ark of the Covenant, the seven-branched menorah, and the table of the bread of the Presence. This connection between physical models and verbal instruction showed that the Sanctuary components were not isolated symbols, but integral components of a unified theological narrative.
During the lectures, Dr. Bolotnikov expertly guided attendees through the design and function of the Sanctuary, explaining the sequence of services and their spiritual significance.
